MDM doesn't employ B1/B2 visa holders, but only employs US citizens, Green Card Holders, or working visas that are obtained through the company.

J1 Visa – (Work and Travel Visa)
This visa is for students that would like to work and travel in the US during the summer break.

The program is done by the US department of State, and is valid for four months of work and one month of travel in the USA.

Participants in this program will receive a Social Security card which will allow them to open a bank account, get a credit card, obtain a driver's license, and will be like a regular US worker.

As part of this program, the company will pay part of the Social Security, Medicare, and local Medical Insurance.

H2B Visa for the Holidays (Christmas)
The H2B visa allows non-US citizens the opportunity to be employed by any company that requires seasonal workers.

The process of receiving such a visa is broken down into a few steps:

1. The Employer that petitions this request must meet the following requirements: The employer must have at least three years of tax history, large revenue, numerous contracts with shopping malls.

2. The employer must also show that there are no U.S. workers in the local area who are capable of performing such services. This is done by advertising campaigns on the radio and TV.

3. The next step is filing for a temporary labor certification with the local labor office.

4. At this step, the petition is submitted to the INS. The INS performs a background check, a criminal check, and also checks that the candidates did not break any previous immigration laws (overstay).

5. The last step is an interview at the US embassy which resembles the tourist visa interview, and is even easier. You are supposed to state that you are coming to work.

Requirements
This visa is valid only for work at MDM, a basic knowledge of English is required.

Validity
The visa is valid for four months, from the beginning of October until the end of January. The visa allows a few days of acclamation. Therefore, you are allowed to enter the USA, ten days before your visa starts, and you must leave the USA ten days after your visa expires.

From the day the visa begins, employees will have the same status as any US citizen as far as work.

Employees will receive a Social Security Card, will be able to open a US bank account, obtain a Credit Card, Drivers License, etc.

H2B for the Spring Season
This visa is similar to the winter H2B in the sense that the process and requirements are the same, but the difference is the time. The visa is good for four months, from April until August, and allows “organization time”. Therefore, the entrance to the USA is allowed ten days before the visa starts, and you are allowed to exit the USA ten days after the visa has expired.

Long Term Visas and Visas for Managers
